With its origins in Gabon, West Africa, the Punu mask is a celebration of non-western beauty standards and the inspiration behind Picasso and Matisse's works of art. My name is Chanelle your ethical leatherworker. I am the owner of Studio Nelle where the aim is to offer an ethical solution to living in a mass-produced world. Whether it be promoting mindfulness through leathercraft workshops, or providing everyday items handcrafted with the planet in mind. Each creation is centered on exploring identity through heritage and culture and combating wasteful practices. By providing pieces crafted from materials already available in abundance in the world, together we are saying no to wasteful practices that harm our environment and making use of items from discarded to landfill in the fashion industry
